Unlock the power
of sustainability

Sustainability is about more than meeting environmental goals—it’s about securing a future-ready business. It represents growth on all fronts: economic prosperity, innovation, and a healthier future for generations to come.

Today, customers, investors, and society expect businesses to take sustainability seriously. European regulations are increasingly aligned with these expectations, making it essential to act. But sustainability is not just an obligation—it’s an opportunity. A well-crafted sustainability strategy can boost brand value, spark innovation, reduce costs, and manage risks. Most importantly, it can set you apart from competitors and create lasting competitive advantages.

If you’re wondering where to start, we are here to guide you.

Frequently Asked Questions:

The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) aims to bolster transparency in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) matters, offering stakeholders deeper insights into the non-financial impact of companies. This directive marks a significant step toward more sustainable business practices across the EU. It brings extensive new reporting obligations for EU companies.

CSRD Reporting Timeline and what it means for your business

The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) will phase in new reporting requirements over the next few years to give companies time to adapt. Even if your company isn’t required to report yet, it’s worth noting that the directive focuses on a life cycle analysis approach. This means that if you work with a listed company, they may already be subject to CSRD and could ask you to prepare for sustainability goal setting and greenhouse gas emissions tracking.

Here’s the timeline for CSRD reporting:

1. 2024 – Companies already covered by the Non-Financial Reporting Directive (NFRD)
– Requirement: Start CSRD reporting for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2024, with reports due in 2025.

2. 2025 – Large Companies Expansion
– Who: Large companies not covered by NFRD, including those with more than 250 employees, an annual turnover over €50 million, or a balance sheet total exceeding €25 million.
– Requirement: Begin reporting for the fiscal year 2025, with reports published in 2026.

3. 2026 – Listed Small and Medium Companies (excluding micro-enterprises)
– Requirement: Start CSRD reporting for the fiscal year 2026, with reports released in 2027.

By understanding and preparing for these requirements early, your company can ease into CSRD reporting and be ready to meet client expectations on sustainability data.

We can assist with a greenhouse gas emission report. Even if you are not yet required to submit one, it’s wise to start gathering the necessary data in advance. We can provide you with templates to support this process.

The costs are entirely dependent on the level of consultancy you require. Strategy or procurement policy advice generally requires less time than supporting management and integrating your sustainability strategy. In a (free) introductory consultation, we can discuss your needs, based on which a tailored proposal will be prepared.
